Amityville Cellars is a négociant-style winery founded in 2019 by Andrew Isaacson, Advanced Sommelier.
My goal is to leverage over a decade's worth of tasting and selling wines from around the world as a restaurant Somm, to producing and selling wines of the highest quality from our great and unique maritime wine region.

Négociant is a French word representing a person or company that purchases grapes or finished wine, then makes a blend under their own labels. This is in direct contrast to an estate-winery, which is defined by a physical property that typically consists of an on-site vineyard, a tasting room, and often a proper winery where grapes are miraculously turned to wine! Indeed, most wines you see in stores are négociant wines, even some of the more expensive brands.

While négociant wineries are common throughtout the wine world, the relatively small wine region of Long Island is dominated by estate wineries. Thus, for Long Island Amityville Cellars is the exception, not the rule.

Our grapes are purchased from Onabay Vineyard - one of the highest quality sources of grapes on Long Island.
